Nursery, Growing & Recycling
Sustainability in horticulture is our goal, and nowhere more so than at our nursery, at Ditton in Surrey.
'DITTON GOLD' - GENUINE LONDON COMPOST .
Ginkgo’s 'Ditton Gold' compost is produced here at our nursery, using recycled garden waste from the London gardens which we design and maintain. We use the resulting compost to grow plants at the nursery – a truly satisfying natural cycle!
GINKGO
operates a nursery in Long Ditton, near Surbiton. We grow our own range of trees, shrubs, climbers, roses and perennials in order to be able to offer plants at the most competitive rates to our valued customers. We grow a wide range, including some more unusual varieties to include in our more adventurous garden designs.

Our space at the nursery allows us to recycle a large part of the green waste we collect, which not only helps keep Ginkgo competitive, but is good for the environment. Where possible, much of the waste is turned into our own 'Ditton Gold' compost and we recycle all the logs and woodchip from our Tree Surgery department. We have also incorporated recycled timber into our garden designs where appropriate to the design.

Ginkgo also has a number of vehicles powered by LPG. Our vision is that all our vehicles will be LPG in the future.
